Mapacha boutique is dedicated to improving the quality of life of our women artisans. When you shop at Mapacha boutique, you are not just buying a piece of fashion but also the story, the culture, their struggles, their traditional techniques, and materials. But more importantly, you are supporting women who love doing what they do to provide a better life for themselves and their children.

Covid-19 Pandemic

One of the most important goals of the project is to help women through education and self sustainability. For the past year, we have supported various artists through the Covid pandemic. Covid has hit our artistic communities harder than other areas due to the extreme poverty and living conditions.

In Chincha, Peru we have purchased in advance so that women could provide food, shelter and medicine for the families. One of the initial goals was to provide advanced educational opportunities through computers and training. However that took second place to the necessity of the children. The computers allowed their children to continue studying remotely during the pandemic. With the situation deteriorating in Peru, vaccines not in the near future and the school year beginning in March, it appears that another school year will be lost to online learning.
